Around The Lake
Redwood’s dock complex provides our campers over 6000 sq. ft. of a sand bottom, dock enclosed, American Red Cross supervised, swimming area. Also visible is an extensive boating area covering 3000 sq. ft. of sand beach and providing campers with a complete professional instruction program in rowboats, kayaks, canoes, and sailboats. Our boating program is geared to provide our campers with the skills necessary for the safe handling of all small craft.
Our Boston Whaler speedboat handles an elaborate Water skiing program that also includes aquaplaning, knee boarding, and tubing. This will train your child from beginner level through expert. The WATER SKI program at Camp Redwood, in addition to being the most popular program at camp, is second to none, as we are literally the only Day Camp in the entire Hudson Valley Region to offer it!
Each age group will be assigned their own cabin. Our beautiful log cabin style bunks will become each groups “Home Base” and be used for changing, bathrooms and where campers will have their daily picnic lunches under covered porches. Our cabins are also used for planned sleep over’s which are scheduled (weather permitting) throughout the summer.
A completely equipped infirmary is available with qualified advanced first aid personnel on staff as required by the New York State Department of Health.
