Last week we had pirate treasure hunt theme at camp. For our all-camp activity, campers dressed up like pirates with painted scars, eye patches and armed themselves with swords for the treasure hunt led by Captain Buddy. Captain Buddy led campers on a crazy trail all over camp through deep woods, across the big blue lake and across the barren soccer field. Mysterious clues posted on signs led the pirate campers to a wooden crate full of treasure and who would have guessed, a watermelon! Redwood staff and campers all enjoyed a juicy slice of the watermelon treasure that afternoon during punch and cookie time.
